I have spent six months working in Chernobyl, this was for me the most impressive experience of my life. I was living in Slavutich, sometimes taking train to Chernobyl same as a lot of workers, but more often going by the road by bus, crossing the Bielorussian border each morning and evening, the countryside emptied of its population, the check point, the radiation controls. I remember the first day, I arrived in CHNPP, this sensation of dead all around, all was stopped 20 years before, rust, corrosion, and this fantastic building "reactor n°4" where so many people have given their life. I have seen the workers running along the hold shelter, trying to seal breaches to avoid the contamination during a few minutes. I have visited Pripiat, the ghost town, at the exact date of the 20th anniversary of the catastrophe, all these apartments emptied quickly, all these still present imprints of life 20 years later, and the nature going over. A real scifi film...version end of the world. I remember my friends from Ukraine, Roman, Serguei, Irina, Vitalya, Alexey, Elena, and those of france with whom I worked there, and all the others without whom these six months would have been a hell. I will never forget...
