Die Frauenkirche in Amberg wurde im Jahre 1312 gebaut auf dem Platz, wo sich davor eine Synagoge befand. Sie war die ehemalige Hofkirche der kurfürstlichen Residenz. Die Form der Frauenkirche orientiert sich stark an der Architektur der Basilika St. Martin.

I don't see how this church could have been built on top of the synagogue since the Jews weren't expelled from Amberg until 1391. More likely the church was built in 1412. St. Martin's was built in 1421 in late Gothic Style so this church probably didn't mimic the style of St. Martin's
