didn't you mention that you live in Cologne? that is a wonderful place too. although I heard they also have some problems with the construction of a new underground line. we have that in Amsterdam as well, here it is mainly a financial disaster.

Wie Du an meinen Bildern festgestellt hast, habe ich durchaus meine Liebe zu den Niederlanden, aber auch zu Belgien entdeckt. Die Nähe zu Limburg und der Kontrast zu den übrigen Niederlanden ist da schon klasse und man erwartet eigentlich nicht, daß es auch schon mal steil zugehen kann, wie in Vaals. Als ich gehört habe, daß es hier sogar ein Skigebiet gibt, fand ich das sehr amüsant! Ich habe es bisher noch nicht entdeckt. Ich weiß nur, daß es in Kerkrade eine künstliche klimatisierte Alljahrespiste gibt und habe sie auch schon gesehen.

i think it is impossible that there could be a ski resort in NL. we have only two days of snow in the winter and there is not enough space on the hillsides. indoor skiing is possible in quite a few places, i personnally think it is a little bit silly. i prefer to play outside and as far as wintersport is concerned the possibilities of iceskating are much better (and natural).

i also think that Limburg is attractive, because it's different from the rest of holland (excuse me i mean the netherlands) but this goes for other parts outside the socalled "randstad" as well.

Ich weiß- wie gesagt- nichts genaues darüber und denke jetzt, daß damit Landgraaf gemeint ist. Wenn ich aber einen Skilift entdecke, lasse ich es Dich wissen! Übrigens gibt es manchmal Langlauf-Möglichkeiten im Wald, de Veluwe. Aber nur wenn es genügend Schnee gibt!
