That's just pretty. Nothing else will do. And wow. Yeah, that too.

You must have been on a road trip? Great panoramic shot Kamaly

kamalyn on November 30, 2008

Thanks, dianne, not1word, and Cal :) We were clouded in at home, but I could see it clear to the north, so I just drove about 40 minutes up to my other favorite place to get my one chance to see the crescent moon and close planets this month. They were off to the left, but the sunset is what ended up being the real catch.

Its also funny how much the zoom changes perspective. The city of Newburyport there is about 2 miles upstream. There's a lighted group of three upside-down V's right of the center of the shot, which is where I usually kayak up from - and its a good hour long kayak. As you can imagine, nighttime full moon kayaks here are great.

Yes, I can see that you must be right, Kamaly! Another spectacular shot!

Nawitka on December 1, 2008

Spectacular all right! Nice that you can just drive around and find clear skies!

Steve Paxton on December 2, 2008

very nice sky kamaly drive around find clear skies not something we can do here. steve

not1word on December 2, 2008

What do you mean, Steve? Just take a quick drive out to Alice Springs. The skies ought to be clear out there.

Steve Paxton on December 2, 2008

Quick from perth i dont think so.

Thanks, jean, Nawitka, steve, and n1w ! I learned from going up to this area to kayak that even though its not all that far away, the weather can be a lot different up here - the east-west river seems to keep the weather to the north of it, or to the south, and I've been here in the sun when its pouring at home. So I've learned to just look for that glimpse of blue on the far north horizon. The little drive was sure it for this one!

I like this view kamaly ...

kamalyn on December 6, 2008

Thanks very much, MİNE. Much chillier here than in the sunrise-sunset shots you've posted form your vacation! Cheers!
