Tom!A fantastically beautiful photo! A horse in the sunset, makes a wild west tendency. Many greetings, Holger.

Y*!

Thanks very much Arden. Not really too sure about blowing them out of the water but I greatly appreciate the sentiment. :)

Most kind of you Holger. Could be in the west but this is a "well fed on Virginia grass" horse. I am honored with your selection to your favourites. :)

Best regards to you both, Tom

Hello Tom! Great shot! Is that an HDR? I loved the sky colours. Greetings from Brazil!

Oh wow Tom, this is brilliant! Vibrant colours and a study in subtlety. I also didn't see the horse in the thumbnail, which makes the surprise and appreciation of this image all the greater.

So is this your horse? I've seen horses in your gallery before but somehow it hadn't occurred to me that they might actually be yours. (Cityboy talking here ;) )

Cheers, Justin

hi tom, great shot. the dark blue of the hill perfectly corresponds with the soft colors of the sky. well done!

best wishes from austria, koery

Tom Lussier Photogra… on December 6, 2008

Thanks Rodrigo. Yes this is two exposures combined. It was the only way to get the sky as mellow as it was and still get enough detail in the silhouette. :)

Cheers Justin. I appreciate your words. Wasn't sure how this one would be perceived as the lower portion did appear pretty dark in the thumbnail. Sometimes subtle is good eh?! :) Yes. This is one of our horses and one of my favourite subjects.

Thank you very much hamzars.

I am very happy you like this one Koery. It's quickly becoming one of my favourites as well. :)

Best regards to all, Tom

Beautiful shot Tom: the silhouettes of the tree and the horse are against the sky and hills are perfectly balanced. Wonderful colours in the sky too...

Best Regards,

Séan.

Hey Tom - one of your horses eh? Lucky man :)

I somehow expected you had more than one. So do you have a ranch then? (not sure whether that's the correct word, it seems to me that implies something very big, and I don't know whether your place is.) Just curious :)

Anyway, I have these images of the "Horse Whisperer" popping into my mind when I look at this photo now. Maybe that's wildly inaccurate, but it is a nice image :) (certainly if it's true).

As to the 007 reference... well, perhaps he meant you should have a "license to shoot" ;) Or perhaps that you're just a cool guy. I mean, forget the Aston, you have a Nikon. (Or perhaps I should just call it N ;) ). Bond does seem to pop up a lot around here lately!

Kind regards, Justin
