The River Nene is one of my favourite places - so much so that I wrote a book about it more than ten years ago. That book - The River Nene From Source to Sea - is now long out of print (but fetching absurd prices on Amazon and eBay) so I'm working on a second edition... hence photographs like this one, taken very early in the morning near Achurch (you can see the village church spire in the background).
