2 December 2008 -- Today, while taking a tour on Google Earth of my old Brooklyn neighborhood, I noticed this rather nondescript "bodega" listed on GE's Dining layer. There are literally tens of bodegas within walking distance of this one; however, this was the lucky one bestowed the honor of having the adorable fork and knife icon representing its presence in this little corner of Brooklyn's Big Bad Stuy. I have no idea why I even snapped this useless photograph while taking a 'butt crack of dawn' walk around my block back in the early Spring of 2003.... perhaps I had a death wish that early morning, as stopping in the middle of that intersection to pull out a camera could have, in reality, resulted in unwanted bullet holes to my body. Well, I survived, and here for the viewing pleasure of my Panoramio/Google Earth friends is the result of daring death to briefly open my camera's shutter.
