Greetings from England!

This looks a good river to fish for trout, but I am not to familiar with this river. I will check it out and reply.

You have a great gallery of pictures! Are you from Portugal?

Best wishes

Thank you for your comment about my gallery, but even Portugal is its main subject,I´m spanish. However,I spend in Portugal all the time I can,I´ve a house in the portuguese coast. About the river, don´t check, fishing in Great Britain is too expensive, but looks great for trouts, and I love fresh and saltwater fishing.

Greetings from Madrid.

You are correct that some fishing in Britain is expensive, especially for salmon and trout.

This river would not be considered particularly good for trout, but here is an interesting English riverthat certainly is; the River Dove a chalk (limestone) river, in Derbyshire.

Not far from where this shot was taken, Isaac Walton, who is considered the “father of Angling”, would have fished. He wrote a book in 1653 called The Compleat Angler that has captivated generations of English anglers (fishermen) and is still considered one of the greatest of all English fishing books!

Regards, Peter
