Mercy is a lovely name, she's a joy, a ray of sunshine, Ian. This is a super photo. Regards, Anita
I know how much you love being a Grandmother, Anita, so I know you understand well! Thanks for your affirmations. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May 2009 be fruitful and fulfilling for you.
Warm regards from a summery Sydney.
Ian I have an uncertainty about this pacaderm, magnificent as she is, life-like and loving, no doubt-but the African elephant, even in captivity, is not usually renowned for being so accepting of humans, unless......has Mercy been friends with her for long? perhaps they are of similar age, or they are very close in some other way/
Zoological gardens do let us marvel at creatures from all over the globe, but it is not really fair to them, to rob them of their independence, their homeland, or their freedom of choice. My feelings are not strong on the subject-and I admit that my knowledge is even less-but I wonder all the same.......
I hope you and your family and friends are having a lovely Christmas, and i wish you all Health, Happiness and Prosperity in the forthcoming New Year.
Let me put in a request for World Peace too!
Mike from GEORDIELAND!
It was simply "love at first sight", mutually. And it was Mercy's love for him that brought him to life.
And thank you sincerely for your best wishes, and I promise I will continue to work for the creation and building of peace across this sphere of our world.
I look forward to more conversations in 2009.
Warmest regards from summery Sydney,

Kind but hungry. He eats way to much food - just look at the size of him and he is still young!
