Hi Steve, Not actually pushed, but... I was creeping forward for a close up, and he decided to jump, honest guv, and I hit the shutter. Cheers, Rob

What a great shot, Rob! I've tried several times to shoot sea gulls in flight but never got a decent photo! This one is really beautiful! Greetings, Anne

Wow this is so much better than my shot of the Gull Rob, I too am going to keep yours so Ys returned without a doubt!

Best wishes to you Sam

RobStamp on January 11, 2009

Hi Anne, Thank you for your kind words, I am happy you find it beautiful.

Hi Sam, You are very kind to think it is better than your Young Gull, I will say that they are very different. The yellow star is a much appreciated bonus. I would have to mark mine down a little on technical quality, but seeing as I had a poster sized print made of it says something.

Cheers, Rob

Great capture, Rob. I have tried to picture a gull like this for several times, but never suceeded. I still have to deal with the sitting gulls, but your pic inspires me to keep on trying. Well done!

Cheers, Norrel

Hi Norrel, Thanks for your comment, wonderful to think my photo is an inspiration. One problem with the technique of creeping forward with the camera to your eye and ready, is how do you watch where you are putting your feet. Don't suffer too much for your art. Cheers, Rob

Norrel on January 13, 2009

You sure have to watch your feet! I've walked several parts of the English coast. Superb views, combined with dangerous cliffs.

Good shot. This is Icaro's dream.

RobStamp on June 17, 2009

Hi bainketa, Do we not all share that dream, I have tried gliding, hang gliding, and para gliding.

Cheers, Rob

Of course we do. I can tell about free fall and bungee jumping. And one paragliding session in the waiting room.

Hi bainketa, Wonder if you have done the paragliding yet. My course was in Algodonales.

Hi pics, Thank you for your return visit. Our first contact was back in January, with comments about the official contest v NPC. And now we have the new policy on spam, and the NPC Toolkit.
