I feel I could've done better if I'd had time to linger, but I'm posting it for interest, with links to better examples. A search on Black Swan tags yielded very few, and for Swan tags it requires browsing to page 8 and on to find some. To save you the effort, this by Karen James is what pompted my search, this by Faintlightofdawn, and this by steve9091
My best regards to you three, Rob
Hi Rob just browsing through your gallery and found this very cute photo,I've put you in my favourite people. Youve done very well to catch this black swan and her signets. Thank you for the tag it means a lot to me;) Best Wishes, Merry christmas, Karen.
Hi Karen, I appreciate your comments, it's a buzz to be tagged on a favourite list, the second I'm aware of. Christmas greetings in return, I'll be watching to see if there's a change in your camera. Cheers, Rob
Lovely shot Rob, thanks for your visit to my gallery and the lovely comments. I never knew that the black swan cygnets look identical to the ones of the mute swan. Anyway, this is a lovely scene, I like the composition and that they don't seem to be disturbed by your presence at all! Best wishes from London, Fai
Hi Fai, Thank everso for your kind words and for taking the time to visit. I did inch forward VERY slowly, not wishing to appear threatening to a mother with her young, also backing away just as quietly, no sudden movements to cause alarm. Merry Christmas, Rob
WoW!!! What portrait charm of family of swans!
Best regards from Russia, ¤-¤-¤ NATALIA ¤-¤-¤
Thanks for your return visit Natalia, "family portrait" is a nice idea. I am happy you like both my very different swan photos. This was taken last year, film SLR replaced by easy to carry digital. Cheers, Rob
Hi Sonja, Thank you for your kind words. I note that there are a few swans in your favourites, but I also saw several lamps, so I thought you might like this by loranto or my own Sun Lit Lamp. Cheers, Rob
Very sweet phaoto and family ! Like 1 ! Greetings, Argenna.
Hi Argenna, That is a nice way of looking at it, a family photo, rather than a nature shot. And very many thanks for your other comments, more replies to follow. You can have a well deserved rest, after your contest moderating duties. Wishing the CFP a good future.
Greetings from England, Rob
Hi Rob, as you know, I am this month’s moderator for the NPC. Thank you for entering the February NPC. Your entry meets all the contest requirements.
Best regards, Larry
I invite you to take part with this lovely picture in 2012 December CFP! Like!
Best wishes, Sorin
