Of the many churchyards that we had passed through this was one of a handful that did not seem to have a bench for the weary traveller. However, the grass of the churchyard extended to the wall of an adjacent building to form a backrest in the shade for our lunch.
Described by Sir Nicolas Pevsner as 'One of the most beautiful churches in Leicestershire' it stands at the head of Crown Hill,
