Dear Graham, Which softness in this variation of colors, which peace in this beautiful flight of birds. Congratulations and best wishes, a yellow star, too, Catherine
Thanks you tino, your comments are appreciated
thank-you Catherine for your words of encouragement and Y* - waiting for birds to form the right shape in the viewfinder is not as nerve-wracking as in the days of film, but it still requires sharper timing that most landscape work! Graham
Hi Graham, Hope your well, Like this lots, love the layers flattening out in the background that tele lens give! Looks like a great location to get a long distance steam train shot crossing the bridge in the evening!
Warmest wishes for christmas graham,
They run a steam train from Corfe Castle to Swanage, h - but not on this line, that i know of. I think I'll have to suggest it - thaks for the idea! There's a steam train known as the Outeniqua Choo Choo that runs across bridges over inlets on the South African garden route which the though remids me of - but i never photographerd that, either :(
Thanks for your comments - greatly appreciated as always :) Graham

Thanks for all that work, H - I'll definitely check the links out when I find a spare moment :) Graham
Thanks Graham, you should enjoy the glorious byways of Dorset & Somerset in these, aiming to put some new stuff up ltr this afternoon!
This is looking from beacon hill to a rail bridge over Lytchett Bay, which is an arm of Poole Harbour, Roma - taken with a 400mm lens in golden hazy light.
Hi Graham, hope your well, great to see this great old friend pop up again!
thanks h - it was for me too! there's always a process if distancing between comparing an image with what you were hoping for at the time and being able to appreciate in its own right - and this has crossed that bridge now :)
