The Sun Pitchers are a genus of carnivorous plants only native to the Tepuis (table mountain highlands)of Venezuela and Guyana. Insects are lured into the pitchers where they die and their nutrients absorbed by the plants. Also in shot are some smaller Pinguiculas (butterworts) which catch small flies on their sticky leaves.
