I love that little swoop off to the left in this one, and the way the bare tree is playing 'follow the leader' and leaning off to the left as well!
I feel I can see the frosty breath puffing out of the cheeks of this walker, but perhaps I'm' just imagining how cold it is...
Is that a thin glaze of ice on the water too? You've really captured the essence of a cold winter's day in England in this one, I think, and not a flake of snow in sight, so well done!
Very best wishes to you,
“You've really captured the essence of a cold winter's day in England”
Thanks Sue, but it is more luck than judgement! I am a walker with a camera and that day in December was just very cold, but the sun came later to make the day quite pleasant, and we hardly saw a sole in a popular location. Even the birds seemed to be missing on that day, when normally there are several winter visitors, although as we passed the power pole there was a kestrel on the following pole, we stopped and for the first time was able listen to the call of that particular bird.
Have a great New Year!
Hi Peter! Are You Brummie?I know the native of Birmingham call themselves this way!Old Good Russian Friend Diggory Venn!
Yes I am a Brummie! Although I now live in Wolverhampton.
I presume that Roger is also a Brummie, but we come from different sides of the City.
(If you are interested in Football I will explain!)
Hi Peter!Yes I am interested in Football!
Birmingham is divided between Birmingham City Football Club and Aston Villa. Roger would support Birmingham, but I was born in Aston district and follow Aston Villa.
Now as Black Sabbath come from Aston I think you should support the Villa!
Best wishes Peter
Do you have a team in Peterberg?
Hi Peter!I would die for the Aston Villa!:)We have"ZENIT" which in 2008 won "Glasgow Rangers" and took the cup UEFA and after defeated "Manchester United" gripping the super cup UEFA !:)I would die for the Aston Villa!:)
