The Welshpool and Llanfair Railway is a steam operated preserved narrow guage railway in mid-Wales. Originally it carried passengers and frieght, and was incorporated into the GWR and subsequently British Railways, but was closed on economic reasons. Original locos and rolling stock have been augmented by narrow guage stock from around the world.
