This photo is not Near Mandal. It is taken outside Sogne 15 km from Kristiansand. Mandal is 45 km from this place. The place has the name Ny-Hellesund and are a verey famous and popluar place in sommetime.

Graeme Heaton says Ny-Hellesund it is! As a 16 year old I spent a family holiday there in 1966 or 1967. Outstanding - profound. We were accommodated in the Inn. Across the channel lived a guy of similar age who owned a clinker-built fishing boat. He and his father took me crabbing and mackerel fishing, crab shells were the size of an outspread hand....and they were plucked from the water by hand! (My father was RAF at AFNORTH Kolsas, Oslo, we lived in Gullkroken and were friendly with the family of Kirsten Bodin, Nils Bays Veie 39.....happy days.)
