Indeed! Just like the first morning. I can just see the little froggies scurrying under the mud to get away from the ice. You must have been up and about early to get this one.

Thanks, Cal ! Yup - got up at the ungodly hour of 6:15 for this, LOL. But the giant full moon setting and crystal clear morning made it one not to be missed. And the funny thing is, the morning really was breaking! We'd had a LOT of rain the day before that raised the pond level by over a foot. Ice kept forming on it as it receded, so all the layers of ice that were left hanging in the air were crackling loudly. It was a pretty interesting walk!
