A nice photo, I have a copy of a 2007 Maori TV documentary about this Tui Tui bird, its songs and life. Tui Tuia unite be one. The first to sing at dawn. Tui a keeper of sound. Inside its chest there is a dual voice-box. The dual voice-box can create two different sounds simultaneously, enabling the Tui to sing in duet with himself. Probably the only bird in the world that is able to do that.

Hi Isfugl. Thanks for your comments and information. We live in a Street which see the sun first and at this time of the Year the Tui love gourging themselves on the seeds growing in the pods in the flax bush.
