Hello Baiyunheitu ~ yes to have all of those Geese flying straight towards the top of the Spinnaker Tower was a very rare moment indeed ~ I was so lucky to have my Camera already mounted on the tripod pointing towards the Tower, when I saw this flock of geese approaching ~ I just had time to turn the Camera on and squeeze the bulb ~ lucky or what? You could wait a million years for that to happen again!

Wow, how fortunate! The flock of geese looks like a long flag in the wind. Very special mood also and excellent shot, Nick! I keep saying to all that don't believe, that GB scenery is beautiful and with your skill it is easy to prove. May

Hi May ~ I could not believe my luck when I reviewed the shot ~ I quickly uploaded it into my laptop ~ blew it up to full size ~ and thought YES. (I could not have done it better ~ if I had planned it!) Pure luck laced with observation.
GB has such a wide variety of beauty to offer the tourer within short journeys even.
May you write the nicest things ~ thank you so much

Fantastic shot Nick!! Congratulations!!
They are looking like ducks(?)...
Greetings, Kostas

Hi Kostas Thanks for your congratulations ~ I'm not so hot at identifying birds ~ I was just grateful that such lumps flew over to make my shot special! I thought that the necks were too long for them to be ducks ~ but maybe they are. When I used to live by the lake in Milton Keynes we used to get many hundreds of Geese flying over in the Autumn in V formations ~ honking to each other ~ on their way to somewhere or other ~ I guess that is what made me think Geese too. What do others think please?
All the very best to you Kostas :)
Nick Weall, on December 16, 2008, said:
Hi Koastas again ~ I've blown the original up very large and I'm still non the wiser ~ maybe the neck is too short to be a Goose. So for now to be safe I've altered the title to read Ducks or Geese :) I still think Geese (I think) as they look to be pretty large lumps and they were flying over the mid channel or so.

Nick I thing you're right. Their flying is the Geese's one! Because duck's flying is like an >!
But whatever they are, they made a wonderful composition to your picture!!
