hi h - nicely done - we used to live in East Finchley and often visited the st Pancras & Islington cemetary which was located there - this reminds me so much of that place - a great nature reserve as well as so being so full of really evocative imagery. Graham

Hi Graham, Hope your very well, These old London cemetries are great, straight out of a Bram Stoker book especially if there running wild! The overgrowth in Highgate gives the light a amazing quality, The light seems to pick out the compositions for you. Headstones dapple in & out of the background. really worth the visit! Delighted you like em!

Merry Christmas to you & all from Dublin!

Great, h! The proud glance of the sculpture bears some irony, it seems. It's a photography full of tension, anyway!

Warmest regards,

Hi Rhyso, Thanks! Not really my general spots to hang out!! but Highgate is so worth a visit when your in London, It's a famous semi wild Gothic graveyard in North London (The burial place of a lot of famous Victorians including Karl Marx). It's full of wonderful elaborate tombs, cyrpts & graves!

The low winter light really help here, but my shadow in the very bottom left corner irked me a little, but i couldn't avoid it trying to hold this composition!!! Excuse the pun, but i must dig up so more pics from this visit late last year!!!

Delighted you like it! Warmest regards from dublin h
