I think that you are a bit pessimstic. Parma is at the same alitude than Paris (an average 50 m). Well in 2040 I would probably be away (where, i don't know) but I would'nt like that my sons and grandsons have their feet in the water...

Notice: the Seine river overflooded Paris 100 years ago or so. Up to 1.5 m on Boulevard Saint-Germain... But new dams are now regulating its watercourse.

You are right in you fight but what can we do alone, the Italians, the French and all the Europeans in comparison with USA, China, India, Russia, Brasil... To show the right way, yes but it will not be enough...

Darwin teached us than the species are evolving, adapting themselves permanently to a new environnement. That's what will happen unless God could change the future of our planet, what I don't seriously believe.

Sincerly yours. Bernard

Who is God? and where is he right now? Is god as good as He seems to be?

...I think we (people of the earth) should help ourselves becoming Earth's friends until the ice floe has complitly melt and until we have branchiae and webbed feets and hands... thinking to the people of Pacific Islands And God save the Queen!!

Greetings

OK AVETN, how could I desagree with theses words... My message had only one purpose: to point out the fact that we, the europeans, are no longer able to "manage" the destiny of the world. Therefore we ought to follow the global powers of our time. We only can try to increase the awareness of the problem in theses countries and I think that we they will listen our talks. But finally they will act as they want, according to their own national interests. As long as they will face themselves the danger and decide to fight along with us. It can take a long time. The human values of Europe are also values for these nations but they don't give them a real priority untill now. Their present goal is to meet our standard of living, at any price!

Napoleon himself said "Quand la Chine s'éveillera..."

Goodbye and Rule Britannia!.
