Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
With this collection of my photos I would like to make a small gift to all my Panoramio’s friends who did not have the possibility to see and feel the special Christmas atmosphere of Germany seen in my eyes!
In Germany like in many other places in Europe and maybe no only, you could be impressed by lots of small nice things for Christmas in the windows looking to the street and of course many lights. The small chandeliers there usually were made by wood and very beautiful!
In some German city like Mainz in front of every shop you will find a ** Special Snowman**! I think that the children gardens there have something like a race between them to make more beautiful Snowman! They are very lovely and makes you to smile passing.
And of course generally in Germany in every big city you can find Big Christmas Open Market which are very nice place to spend your free time, just to enjoy and to have some delicious food (tipical Weiswurst with hot wine), sweeties and to find some special and unique gift for Christmas!
In my native country Bulgaria people usually are preparing their houses inside for Christmas and of course with the traditional Christmas tree! The lights there still are not fashion outside but in the big cities municipality is going to put the special lights outside in nowadays!
But in Bulgaria in Christmas, there is some very special tradition I will let you know later in my Special Christmas Card for you! :-)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everybody who read this one!
My best wishes, Mimi
mmmh...very delicious! Did you ever have a taste of the dark cake (in the upper left side of the picture, those with red ribbons)? We call it "Baumkuchen". I love it!
Many thanks Wolf for your nice comment! Yes I tried many times. They have a smell of canella, a little strong like a taste but I liked too.
My Best Wishes & Greetings, Mimi
