I'm the photographer, thus I could not jump into the mud :-)).

you're so right. I know this place long before became commercial. There was nothing, only natural pools and the smell of brimstone. That times the place was called "Cleopatra's bath" (I thought she were using exclusively finest milk of donkeys).

Later, I think in 1994 a businessman invested very clever some of his money and erected the wooden house the showers, etc. He was and is a rich man, small with bald head. Sometimes he is visiting his mud bath, slipping into the slush and telling everyone that this is for his and for all mankind health.

But it is a great fun for the people and an attraction in Dalyan, perhaps also against some maladies :-)

ı have gone to here two year ago and we enjoyed very very much.. but ı remember this,bedrock of soggy very dirty and yuck:):) ı have feel sick.. ı'm sure there are somebodies who think like me ( pasiv cümle kuracam diye anam ağladı valla:))

so do ı haved jumped into the mud.:):)... ı thing it was so dirty but was very good for body healty.

I remember older days of this place Andreas. It was only a small, warm bleed of clay coming from thre rocks and it was mixing and swept with the water of the channel at that time.

When I visited Dalyan second time in 2006, I found the chance to take a bath at this pool. I astonished the buoyancy force of the mud. One cannot sunk and his body tends to roll unless he holds firmly a stationary thing.

Yes Hasan, what silent place Çamur Banyosu in the early days it was. Now it’s a big attraction, sometimes just terrible because of the confusing amassment of people. I prefer to go there out of season, then the spirit of older days can be felt again :-) That the bodies cannot run low in this mud stuff is viewy demonstrated here and in my new posted pic.
