Roger, I am so pleased to be the first to say welcome back, I too have been busy with other things over the past year, but even so, I missed your talent for simplicity, nice to see you return. :) This is a lovely photo, I particularly like the spire and the darkening sky in the background. Christmas Greetings to you and yours from another Northern dweller,
Vicki ( Alberta, Canada)

Vicki, I'm so happy that one of my regular visitors picked up on this one. Thank you for your kind words. I will spend some time looking through the pictures my friends have posted the last year and get a bit updated, including yours of course. I will start posting a few more pictures on Panoramio during this week. It's good to be back, and very nice to hear from you. I wish you and yours a wonderful Christmas :)

Thank you Isabel :) It was a picture hard to get. I just had an evening walk and just grab the camera on my way out the door. I didn't bring my tripod or monopod since I went out while it was daylight. So, the picture is taken using a really old 50mm at f/1.4, high ISO (400 or 800) and Anti Shake engaged. Unfortunately there were no tree or anything else to lean up against or support the camera so I had to take quite a few before I got one that was not blurred by my hands shaking :) The picture is cropped a bit and had a little sharpening.
Cheers :) Roger

Very beautiful photo, Roger. The extra work you did to get this shot certainly had excellent results.
