KABUL 1972

Scanned from picture I made in 1972!( with an instamatic - and very cheap) camera. My words: Stop the war in Afghanistan and everywhere!!! abrax from Austria

Not very much has changed in the last 36 years in the landscape. Unfortunately fanaticism has destroyed a beautiful and wild country. Greetings.

Zu dieser Zeit war das noch möglich, so zu reisen. Hätte mich auch sehr gereizt. Man müßte 300 Jahre alt werden, um einigermaßen alles sehen zu können, was einen lockt. Schade, dass Du nicht mehr Bilder hast.

To hapka: nach Afghanistan wird man geführt, die Seele will dorthin. Und einmal da gewesen, lässt einen dieses Zauberland nie mehr los. Da weisst man, dass dort das Zentrum, die Seele, der Geist der Erde her stammt. Da hat die Seele eine Heimat, das weisst sie, und sie sehnt sich danach. Dort wird die Sinnlichkeit auf dreier Arten aufgenommen: Seelig, geistig und körperlich. Afghanistan geht sehr tief und berührt dort etwas, wofür es keine Wörter gibt. l.g.

Elios I have only 3 or 4 more pictures with absolutly no quality. I was travelling by hitchhiking and my "camera" was indeed no "camera", so I put it away in Kabul. At this time I didn't like to take pictures... Maybe we met somewhere in the chicken street or in an other place ...:) I stayed there for three times..on the way to India and I love this country!
