Good work, John. I really like the full range of grays you're getting with these black & whites. I could almost become a fan of HDR processing. The camera records an image; The processing makes it art.

Oh wow, the texture is just flipping amazing! It's fascinating, the way the clean lines of the wall shooting into the distance like a high speed train are encrusted with ice and yet retain their harsh business like strength of direction. I don't think I put that well, but I can't think how else to put it so that will have to suffice.
I love the rhythm of the loops and bollards, all encumbered with their thick crust of cold ice, and the way the lamp appears to be bowing in reverence to the beautiful pool of light in the sky, which I'm assuming is the sun, but it's a very different creature to the furnace I am acquainted with, day in, day out!
This scene must be absolutely blinding in reality though, with the piercing blue sky behind such pristine whiteness?
Really fantastically memorable work, John, I'm so glad I came to see what you've been doing before hitting the sack.
night night. I wish I could spend longer here, but I never have enough hours in the day any more. I feel as though I'm really missing out on an experience to leave so soon. :( Very best wishes to you, you're an inspiration which I'll never never match, but I'm just so glad to witness your fine work.
Sue
