Even on this picture the bird is well camouflaged. The shades of gray from his feathers blend in perfect with the surrounding gravel. Cute bird with that yellow tip. I just found out that the name Siskin is derived from its sound or chirp.

Erik, thank you for looking at my photo of this cute little bird. The camouflage works very well, I believe this is the first time that I see this bird! It also resembles the gold finch that we have here, so if I did see it, I might have thought it was a gold finch. I am still trying to learn about birds.
