A Yellow City

There is a yellow city Upon a prairie With floating mesas And signs with no direction And with cars buried in the dust This town is home To a peculiar pairing Like Montagues And Capulets A hundred churches And Pantex Where they sew The seeds Of our salvation And our deaths But we carry on In the name of Progress And sprawling Yet I digress For when the Water tables dry And the sun Causes the bombs To fry They will find amongst the rocks The legs of Ozymandias In red and white tube socks.

as Judasmachine hinted at, the statue of legs erected by Stanley Marsh is in reference to the poem Ozymandias
