At the right in the photo is Cookes Peak looking to the west. The canyon at the foot (left) of the mountain was a route for the Butterfield Stage line. The Apaches did their best at thwarting to no avail, unfortunately.
Nice photos of Lake Valley water towers and the old rail loading dock at Nutt.
Traveled that route today, and my camera batteries failed. I'll enjoy your photos, then!
