Vessel is the locally built and Fremantle based STS LEEUWIN II. Photo position is wrong - shore based either Scarborough area (as stated) or possibly Leighton Beach - just north of Port beach, Fremantle. I can't read the viewing line of Rottnest from on screen photo. LEEUWIN frequently anchors off Leighton; rarely off Scarborough. Can't find BeachFront in local phone book. From a yachtie Perth resident.
Peter is right. I'd not long returned from living overseas when I took the photo from Brighton Beach and thought it was Endeavor but in fact is is the tall ship Leeuwin. "Beachfront" was sold a couple of years ago by my partner Joan who died last month.
