Wikipedia: The Hula Valley (Hebrew:עמק החולה, Emek HaHula) is an agricultural region in northern Israel with abundant fresh water. It is an important bottleneck site for birds migrating along the Syrian-African Rift Valley between Africa, Europe, and Asia.
Probably there is full of Latvian birds, but some missed. Last week I saw several swans finding some place non-covered by ice in Latvia
Ainars, I believe that Latvian gray cranes come to this Valley as well as many other birds from the former...1/6-th part of the Earth ground :). I know that some of cranes come even from the Western Siberia! Can you imagine how thousand miles that should fly in order to stay with us!
