As you can imagine by the heading, this is pretty disastrous, when the lake/weir is full you add 2/3rds more water, a totally differnt place.

Nice pic D. Wow that is low. I don't think there is any water near the Bonnie Doon end now. H

No H, there isnt any water at Bonnie Doon, cant get around there any more.

Only 1/3! I take it you have a drought or is there another problem with the water not flowing to the lake any more? Good shot. Kasia

diannemcd on December 31, 2008

Hi Kasia yes we do have a drought, we can only water our gardens twice a week between 6 a.m. - 8 a.m. so naturally our gardens and lawns are not coping very well, a lot of people have put in tanks to help things (mainly garden) we cant wash cars, or use our hose at all outside. Lake Eildon is very different now to what it was 10 - 20 years ago, so very low. Thanks for your visit. Dianne

Interesting - wouldn't the parking lot get flooded?

diannemcd on January 1, 2009

Cal the parking lot is only there because of lack of water, I think normally it is up to around where the dark trees are. Dianne

Interesting point of view and perspective, with wonderful colours

diannemcd on August 26, 2009

Hi tu-quoque I would love to get up there again now, none of the boats are there now, the water has gone down even more, it is getting desperate. Dianne

Hi. Your photo is of the the Eildon Boat Club, not the Eildon Boat Harbour.

diannemcd on September 7, 2010

Thanks, but I will leave it as Lake Eildon, and leave out the boat club bit.
