Hi D. Ah those lazy hazy days of summer from yonks ago!!! It was always scary skiing on Eildon because even when the dam was full, I knew those trees were there (at Bonnie Doon end also).
I am glad I'm not there when the big kids are skiing I think I would be freaking, but with the littlies they werent going too fast and M is very careful, but you only need a little bit sticking up. It wasnt a very big tree where the accident was (not in height anyway) and so close to shore. Sad.

Really sad news about that accident. Water levels are so low everywhere making it all much too dangerous. This shot just makes you realise how low.
It was very sad, she lived very near to me, and the young boy (charged with manslaughter) lived in same suburb. The accident happened very close to the bank they were far to close and there would have been trees just like these except a much bigger one. It was very near to this pic. you could see the tree they hit from my sons houseboat, but on other side. So so sad, such a wasted life. Dianne
Awful isn't it, the poor kid must be beside himself. None of this is ever intentional, just foolhardy. Paul
Absolutely right Paul, he is only 16 and has to live with that forever. Anyway, enough of that sadness lets looks at the nicer side of Eildon and the fun, and great pics you can get.
