Beautiful place, Marilyn.I could walk along the road in the shadows of the pillars, trying to imagine how it was...

You chose the perfect angle for this composition with the shadows falling from the pillars adding to the graphic effect. Wishing you a wonderful, happy and healthy 2009! Kasia

Thank you, Daniela, Eva, Igor, edy, Rom@nce, and Kasia. I knew nothing about Beth Shean when I found it on our itinerary. It is the "best-preserved Roman-Byzantine town in Israel," and we discovered that it is a fascinating place to visit. It suffered destruction in an earthquake in 749.

Best wishes to all of you for a photo-filled 2009! Marilyn

Hi Marilyn - thank you for sharing the photos at shutterfly... it was a really great thing to watch that rows of Israel, Jordan and Egypt.

It took some time to follo you through the complete rows and some times it was just wonderful in colors and scenes - but also scaring in combination with the knowledge about what is actually going on.... and especially what was going on in the past.

Very impressive your pictures from yad vashem...

Thank you very much :)
