This is a picture of the filtration plant and water tower that date to 1916 and are no longer in use. I believe that at the time I took the picture, the water plant and the water tower were in the process of demolition. There was an effort to save the water tower, but apparently it would have cost the city of Oshkosh $1 million more to keep it than to demolish it as they plan to use the space to renovate and expand the functional parts of the filtration plant.
