About 50 years ago, route 104 was closed for a week from a huge storm that clogged in a section of road known locally as Perry Hill about 3 miles west of Oswego, It occurred because a steep edge on the North side of road caused a huge drift to fill in the road. That edged was excavated away 30 years ago. I don't believe this picture is of that area or any other in the area, and I've lived here quite some time.
That is NOT a picture of anywhere in Upstate New York. It is actually a photo of huge snow drifts that closed the Trans Labrador Highway between Red Bay and Lodge Bay from February to April 2004 located in Labrador, Canada. Here is the link: Google
