...after loading google earth into my new laptop...i started adding placemarks to my favorite places...placing one on baker st. where i and my wife and children lived years ago with our extened "family"..for many years...i look at your pic and its my house...painted blue..!...it looks good..!...one of the most amazing parties i've ever been to was in the basement of this building...not really a basement...the bottom flat...low ceiling...mabey eight foot...compared to the 16 -18 foot ceilings in the rooms above...wow...thnks for the pic...!

Hi!
I am happy that this photo allows you to know what's your old house looking like! Where do you live now?
I am personaly not resident from SFO. I was here for a business trip (in the silicon valley) and I spent a week-end visiting SFO by foot... And you can understand that I took the photo because of its color!
To finish the story, I am french, I live in Provence, near Marseille & Aix-en-Provence (have a look into google Earth to a little village named Mimet!). And my house is not blue!
Ciao Ludovic

I also have great memories of this house from 1974-1975. My friends John, Rob, Jude, Israel and others lived here. I lived around the corner on Broderick St.
Thank you for the photo and the memories it brings back!

Hello s_f_child... and all others who knew this house! I lived in that basement flat, with some lovely people I miss very much. Must have been like 1972-3-4??? Like they say, if you remember the Haight Ashbury you weren't there. Here via Google Street View 7/5/09 and it looks like they are fixing to move the building. Ahhh, YOUTH! If only I could return to those days... many good times in that 5 Baker Street home. PEACE! Love and all that hippie talk :-)
