Thanks Fai.
I've seen his shot as well (couldn't miss it with all those links ;)) and have to admit that it's a stunner. :)
Cheers, Tomas

Ja, deze foto had ik al eens eerder bekeken. Heel mooi, Tomas. Ik denk dat wij Panoramio-gekken elkaar al van verre herkennen. Van die mafkezen die alles in rechthoeken zien en omhoog kijken.

Well Tomas here at least is one roof that we have both stood under! For myself with my bicycle and camera ~ I think I missed the opportunity to point the camera upwards and certainly not to the great way you have caught this most popluar of subjects. Berlin is a great place ~ I loved it.
Ciao nick

Hey Nick, I absolutely loved Berlin as well, what a wonderful city it is. So you explored it by bike?
By the way, while browsing through my older photos recently I found out that this is only the sixth photo I've ever taken. I guess it's a classic example of beginner's luck! :)
Greetings, Tomas

I explored it all by bike yes Tomas I have a very good fold up bike that I carry in the back of my vehicle when touring. My main purpose in going to Berlin was to visit the new railway station and boy that is so beautiful. I got there pretty early one sunday morning and parked on a side road very very close to the station, grabbed my camera and charged in, an hour later I came out and my Renault Espace had gone! Well that testing my powers of German! (which is basic to say the least) Found out that the police had towed it away and a very nice policeman took me it his car to one of the three principal police stations two or three miles north it seemed of the staation. Stayed some time there and paid a big big fine. Then they gave me a slip of plain paper with a street name written on it, pointed southwards and sent me on my way!!! I was looking for a car pound! maybe thirty minutes later I found it dumped in another long side road of industrial units!!! Taught me a good lesson though, after that it stayed in the hotel underground car park and the bike and I went everywhere, plus the camera of course. ciao

Ouch, that's pretty shitty. Good that you had your bike with you though. ;) We went there by train (to the old station, new one wasn't finished yet) and explored it by metro so at least we didn't have problems with wrongly parked cars...
You don't have any of these shots on Panoramio, do you?

Hi Nick, nice story ;-) Berlin is one of the most beautiful citys of europe!!! I was 10 times at this city and this year, I will come back to the athletics-WM, because I make athletics as I was young (look at my high-jumping-photo)!!! In Berlin you need not so much money as in London, Rom or Paris!!! I wish you a nice dream and good luck for the contest (you will win)! ;-)
Ciao, your friend from germany, Uli

Hi my good friend Uli yes I too will go back to Berlin maybe this May when I have to visit Koln and Hannover for business anyway. Thanks for your good wishes too :)
Tomas I really do not have so many and they are all on my other wib site, look in my profile. The quality of them may not be so good. Ciao

Hi Uli, good to see a true Berlin fan here, hope you like this shot.
As a matter of fact a little trip to London shouldn't be too expensive at the moment, the exchange rate of pound to euro is pretty low. :)
Nick, I hadn't visited your profile as of yet, I'll have a look at it right now.
Greetings, Tomas

I think that probably you both could afford to buy all of London right now the exchange rate is so much in your favour and we are rapidly disappearing down the plughole!!! ;(((
Tomas I gave you some pointers on the Barcellona shot
