Train tracks, what can i say, something mystical about them for me. I think part of the reason is the possibilities where the tracks may lead you nowadays.
I do not know how the U.K. is but in Germany there were a lot of deserted tracks that I followed that took me to some wonderful places that normally one could not get to by road or sidewalks.
I agree Rafael. I love railways and there are lots of disused tracks in the UK, especially since many rural lines were closed in the early sixties. Walking them is fun and easy because there are no big gradients.
