I made a spontaneous visit to this mill, for as I passed by it seemed disused and therefore a photo opportunity. But I was wrong. It is still functioning and so I met the residents of "the main house". In course of conversation, I was shown a photo of this hose taken in 1949, and woned by Margaret Frost (nee Gibson) who was a child in the 1949 photo. So this photo was taken as a corresponding image, 60 tyears later. Little had changed. There were some modifications to the house, electricity was now reticulated, the house yard fence has been removed and the surrounding mill yard is not well maintained anymore. The home remains unpainted and without additions. Even a young silky oak tree has sprung up on the eastern side of the house to correspond with the one that was there in 1949. The Green family ought the mill and the house in 1965 and today it remains as the home of Mr Ron Green, the operator of the mill.
