Lovely colours Ian, I can even see the anthers clearly in the enlargement. The wood is a lovely complement to the grass. Simple ... but ... not everyone could get such a good capture.

Regards dear Ian, Amelia

Dear GGR and Amelia,

I think the specialness of this simple image is in its subject, one that not many people would see... nor then take a moment to record it. I appreciate your simple joy in seeing this, and your affirmations inspire more. My latest uploads of green yellow, red and blue (on 2009-01-060 follow in similar vein. See what Panoramio friends do to us!

And Amelia, I am also pleased with the detail too for it is merely a handheld photo.

My very best wishes

This is a lovely shot! From the thumbnail I first thought it was a spider! It's very beautiful because rather than in spite of its simplicity! You have a good eye seeing these small things most people wouldn't pay any attention to, Ian! Thanks for sharing! Greetings, Anne
