Hanging on to live longer. Erosion is making the soil fall to sea but the tree in hanging on! Great capture. Great example to everything that has a life! I liked the softness in all the colors especially the blue. a definite LIKE. Thanks for sharing this beautiful picture.

Hi Antoine Jasser, thanks for your comment and LIKE, particulary for your interest. In the picture you can see the panorama vierpoint on top of the tallest cliff (118 m), called "Königsstuhl" ("Kings seat"). The mystic story behind: In 1715 the Swedish King Karl XII. observed a battle on the sea. It was so boring for him that he ordered himself a chair to rest. Well, just as kings did :-) --- The coastline is permanentely changing because of rain, wind and the influence of the sea. Last rainy summer big chunks of chalk and scree pounced down. Look here please I have a picture of it. Best wishes and have a nice week --- JENS

Interesting! We can learn so much about history by just conversing with our fellow photographers. Thanks for the history. BTW the view from below reminded me of Dover, England.
