Oh! How I wish I had pointed the camera a bit lower! This photo is mainly historical interest as this view is no longer there, in fact most of the sky here would now be hidden behind Eldon Square Mall.
Yes, but look at that color graduation that you get from negative (or slide) in the sky. If this had been digital it would have been white!
This was a while ago wunt it? I was just courting my Geordie lass then.
This would have been within a day or two of getting my first 35mm camera (a Halina Paulette with f2.8 lens and manual everything). The lack of exposure latitude (dynamic range they call it nowadays) with digtal cameras is a major bugbear for me, in fact I am thinking about another film camera.
Amazing. The Halina Paulette was my first camera (did I buy it from you I wonder?). Mine was not the fancy Electric one, I had a separate meter (I still have the meter, wish I still had the camera).
My last film camera is out of its hiding place - a Pentax P&S with good zoom and I am looking for a cheap source of batteries to get it going again. Course I don't want to over-spend on the batteries! You can take the man out of Yorkshire.....
Do you still have your Paulette or like me did you 'trade up'.
The return spring on the winder broke so I went mad and got a Zenit EM! My Paulette was totally mechanical, too.
And [THIS] was the quantum leap from the Halina.
Amazing I wrestled between the very same Zenit and THIS.
The Praktika won.
