dirk bijstra, you are very kind. Thanks for your visit to my gallery. David
If this shoot was in B&W would seen a Ansel Adams image of the Yosemite Park...
Marco Mandirola, you are so kind with your words. I am NO Ansel Adam, that's for sure. Greetings from California. David with regards,
David, how time flies when I browsed through your gallery. It must have been a couple of hours and it seems like minutes. To be honest this is the first time I really spent this much time browsing through a gallery and never did I enjoyed so much as in yours. This scene is my choice.
The colors are so rich, focus so sharp...it's unbelievable. One question though are the colors as is or you used some editing tools? You don't have to answer this if you wished, regards...tony.
Tony, I am very flattered from your compliments regarding my gallery. Thanks a lot! My philosophy for my gallery is diversity and reality with "decent" photography that do the views and objects justice. Yes, the colors are absolutely real. I took this shot using my wife's 10 mega pixel Canon point and shoot as my EOS Rebel's battery went out during the hike. I was very lucky as the view at the time was just incredible. I simply tried my best to do the view "justice". Best regards, David
Anupam, appreciate your kind words and like. Best regards, David
Re. Marco's comment re. this shot like Ansel Adams....yes Ansel Adams took the same photo ...in B&W...I also took this same shot
on 8/19/1967..( I just submitted it to the Yosemite Group ....where I saw your photo and your other great photos of Yosemite )...I have a Post card of Ansel's Photo that a friend sent me in 1980...we stood in his footprints....I met Ansel Adams in 1979 at his book signing in S.F. and got a autographed copy of his book " Yosemite and the Range of Light"...a treasured possession....I have the post card posted in my Flickr account....
Best regards ...
You are a very lucky man to have met the legend. I am no Ansel. Just a guy who enjoys beautiful scenery and always trying hard in attempts to capture what my eyes saw. I am glad that you joined the Yosemite group as it is truly one of the most spectacular places known to men. Best regards, David
