Thank you for this lovely comment Sandro and Christina. It was a lovely sunny cold day here in the UK, so I made the most of it.

Your series of reflection photos is really great, Amelia! This one is just perfect! I notice that there isn't any snow! Finally we got our snow and it even stays because of the very cold temperatures at the moment! Greetings, Anne

Amelia Royan on January 6, 2009

Thank you Anne for this great comment. There were some powdery bits of snow around for a time in the early morning which were soon blown away, but it was about -5 degrees on top of the Aqueduct, and rather slippery. :) I might post up the icicle photos I took to let you all know that it is cold.

It's rare to get really good snow here, so I envy you.

Hello Gabi, this is a great comment. This is the entrance of the canal tunnel that goes underneath roads etc. so that the canal remains on the level. The tunnel is about 421 metres long.

You can just see to the end of it in one of my photographs which Thomas has enhanced for me.

Greetings, Amelia

Good morning Silver Moon, I love your code name by the way. :) This is a great comment, and so much appreciated. It was a very cold day, but no wind and some good sunshine. I'm so glad that you like this one.

Francisco “Francisco… on January 10, 2009

Hello Amelia. Thank you for your visit and commentary. My vacations 2008 I have visited Belgium and France. Chalons-en-Champagne is the route of the CHAMPAGNE and is very beautiful and attractive. Greetings from Spain. Francisco

Amelia Royan on January 10, 2009

Francisco, we have driven through France many times, but never on a canal. The auto-routes are quick but, from your photos, nowhere near as pretty.

Hello Christian, thanks for dropping by. Thank you for your kind comment. I think we must both love reflections. I tried the reflection tag on your site but couldn't get anything else to come up. So I shall have to do a search. :-)

Greetings, Amelia
