Hello Julie,

Sorry for the late response. Yes this is a very special place. It was Old Chief Joseph's Home. He was previously burried near Lostine (west of this lake) but his grave was vandalized Years & Years ago. So they burried him here. I have a close up shot of his head stone and his people still leave offerings to him on the head stone. It was quite amazing.
