Thanks Lukas, and Happy New Year to you as well. The trail from the Waterrock rest stop isn't too challenging so I was able to master it, even with my bum knee, and this vista was my reward. I'm glad you like it too.

Really gorgeous shot, Hank. Beautiful composition and the wonderful sky sets it off perfectly.

Thanks Eve, it's hard to match the grandeur of your Montana mountains, but our Blue Ridge Parkway shows the warmth and charm of our eastern landscapes. Notice how I claim these parts of North Carolina and Virgina as though they were suburbs of New York City and New Jersey.

That's probably because states are smaller here.
