Beech trees at Darwin Forest Country Park

I realized on the enlargement that the row of rocks must have perhaps been a fence at one time. Was it misty or frosty in the pasture? The beech trees are beautiful - I am not sure I knew what a beech looked like until now!

Yes this used to be a dry stone wall and it was a very frosty morning.

HA - letters after my name, I have had it a long time but never used it. I caught Jethro but he hasn't worked it out yet.

Off the beaten track there Kenny..love those trees. The carpet of leaves adds sparkle to the shot. It takes little imagination to hear that stream tinkling away and the familiar chirping up there on the boughs..Nice!

It still remains one of my favourites. It isn't really off the beaten track, we go there regularly for the peace and tranquility (and the birdwatching)
