not sure which of these two I like best. This one I think because of the way the curves are and the canal pulls you deep into the shot. friendly greetings from nick
I agree with Nick. I feel more strength in this one. Best regards, Larry
Thanks for your visits Nick and Larry!
I agree with you both, this is the better shot. I find it interesting to see the differences between two shots taken so closely together (I think this one is made only about 1 metre to the right of the other one). It once more shows that looking for a better composition always pays off.
Larry, let me use this place to thank you for your tremendous series of 'thursday photo tips'. I always read them with great pleasure and I think I've learned a lot from them (this photo shows at least a part of an s-curve, it's a start :)).
very good, tomas :) you're a great composer.
i really liked your version of that overexposed bridge by another user (can't recall the name). it was exactly the crop i would have suggested (if i knew the person) to eliminate the "blown" parts but keep all the good stuff :) greets, brian
Thanks Brian and Sylvia & Roger!
Brian, that means a great deal coming from you! You must be talking about this one by Amelia Royan; quite striking that you had the same crop in mind. :)
Sylvia & Roger, nice to meet you. I'll have a look at your gallery later today.
Thanks Tomas. I am glad you found Thursday Photo Tip helpful. Best Regards, Larry
Nee, bijzonder mooi Tomas. Vooral door die schaduw-werking die de lijnen zo scherp maken.
Bedankt Guido en Frank, goed om te horen dat jullie m mooi vinden!
Difficult to decide between them Tomas. Just let me flip between the 2 for a bit. :)
No problem Amelia. :) Most seem to prefer this one! (so do I)

Hi Sebastian, I'm really glad that you like the photons I caught on my tiny sensor here! :) Thanks for your comment.
Well your tiny sensor works miracles Tomas, this is fabulous.
That's quite a compliment Paul, thank you very much.
